Good to know

Why does waist-to-hip matter more than weight alone?+

Fat carried around the waist ("apple" shape) is more strongly linked to cardiovascular and metabolic risk than fat carried on the hips ("pear" shape), even at the same total body weight.

How do I measure correctly?+

Waist: at the navel, standing relaxed, tape snug not compressing. Hip: at the widest point around your buttocks.
